4th August 2010 - BUSINESS TIMES  DOMESTIC Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry is targeting 100 new franchise businesses this year, up four times than last year. Its minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said approvals for franchise registration up to July this year have already doubled the registration for the whole of last year. He said between January and July 28 this year, 61 new franchise licences were approved, compared with 27 approvals last year. "Increasing awareness on the benefits of franchise is expected to contribute to higher franchise registration for this year," Ismail Sabri said in an interview with Business Times in Kuala Lumpur recently. |
