KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak wants more Malaysians to become innovators and entrepreneurs – the main players generating the country’s wealth and economy.
Attractive and exciting innovations, said the Prime Minister, were a boon with domino effects on the domestic and global economies, adding that new creations were needed “not only in science and technology but in all areas.”
“I hope to see more Malaysians put on their creative hats and explore how they can come up with innovations that will benefit the economy and mankind,” Najib said at the launch of Perbadanan Nasional Berhad’s (PNS) new headquarters in Bangsar South here yesterday.
“Entrepreneurs, on the other hand, play a crucial role in ensuring that the economy remains active by providing business and employment opportunities to the people,” he said.
Najib also reminded entrepreneurs and franchisees that it took self-determination and hard work for them and their businesses to succeed.
“I am told that the success rate among people who venture into business are higher if they use their own money as capital or investment.
